Not too long ago a colleague was talking about a brewery making barrel aged sour beer, called Little Earth Project. Some Googling showed they're based in Sudbury. This was a surprise. Hailing from and knowing the area incredibly well, this seemed ballsy.
After an email, written in fluent Suffolk, to Tom Norton, head brewer / owner we got some beer up and started talking about having some fun. It's a pleasing thing to see greatness coming from the heartland, and if there was an opportunity to help get the word out in some small way, that opportunity wasn't going to be turned down.
So on May 25th, to kick off our week long Sour Fest, Tom will be here to tell his story; why he's making beer, and now why he's making barrel aged brett infused beers in the middle of the Suffolk countryside. There will be some new bottled beers arriving and their first keg (Rye & Amarillo Saison) for the tasting.
Food will be from Twelve Triangles, but that blog about that little change has yet to be written. Think North African influenced kebabs, though. You'll be part way there.
Tickets are £20 and include many beers, many foods & many laughs.
